Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity which looks after some of the most important homes of royalty in Britain, including Hampton Court and the Tower of London.

For the 500th anniversary of Henry's VIII's death, held at Hampton Court Palace, they had the notion of unveiling 500 little-known facts about him. We were asked to create the series style and publication, eagerly designed as we learned about the hidden side of Henry — his gong scourers (bum wipers!), his alchemist habits and talent for music.
